What is EPIPEN® used for?

How do I use an EPIPEN® Auto-Injector?

Remove the blue safety release, firmly press the orange tip against the outer thigh, and hold in place for 3 seconds. You may administer through clothing if needed. Seek emergency medical help immediately after use.

When should I use an EPIPEN®?

Use EPIPEN® at the first sign of a severe allergic reaction, such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, hives, dizziness, or a rapid drop in blood pressure.

Can EPIPEN® be used on children?

Yes. The EPIPEN JR® Auto-Injector (0.15 mg) is intended for patients weighing 33–66 pounds (15–30 kg). Your healthcare provider can determine the appropriate device for your child.

Do I need to go to the hospital after using an EPIPEN®?

Yes. EPIPEN® provides temporary treatment. Emergency medical attention is required immediately after administering epinephrine.

How should I store EPIPEN®?

Store EPIPEN® at room temperature. Do not refrigerate, freeze, or expose it to excessive heat or sunlight. Replace immediately if the solution becomes cloudy or discolored.
